The 72-year-old's family are also big fans and his daughters also changed their names, one to Melanie McCartney and the other to Caroline Lennon.

John's home is a shrine to the legendary Liverpudlians, and he still listens to their music for up to five hours a day.

He owns 100 of them Beatles T-shirts and wears a different one every day – and regularly dresses in one Sergeant Pepper business suit.

John, a retired forklift driver from Bridgwater, Somerset, said: “I just love it the Beatlesand I have been for as long as I can remember.

“Because of my old name, Presley, everyone always called me Elvis and I didn't like that. I like the Beatles the most.”

He said he first heard them on the radio like a child. Although he has never seen them live, he regularly attends tribute bands, with his favorite songs being All You Need Is Love and Lennon's Give Peace A Chance.

He has a Beatles mop top, Lennon-style glasses and owns four pairs of trainers with photos on them John, Paul, George Harrison And Ringo Starr.

And every night he curls up in the Beatles' bedding.

John said: “My room is like a museum. There are life-size posters of all four and I like to say 'good morning' and 'good evening' to them.

“I have all their names tattooed on me and even a photo of all four on my left leg.”

He lives with daughter Melanie, 42, who of course named her son Paul McCartney.

Her fellow Beatles fan sister Caroline has a son named Richard Lennon. John added: “I feel very blessed to now have four wonderful grandchildren.”
