The worst-rated game of 2024 has become the best-selling game

LAST year was perhaps the best year ever for gaming, and 2024 is boosting that with an incredibly strong start.

However, it's not some of the excellent 90+ rated games that have topped the charts this week, but a critical flop.

There have been some incredible games released in recent weeks, but none have topped the charts.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth scored an incredible score of 93 on Metacritic and was the second best-selling game in its first week, dropping to 28th this week.

Tekken 8 has done just as well with a rating of 92, and was rewarded by reaching third place this week.

The second best-selling game of the week, Persona 3 Reload, wowed fans and critics, earning an excellent rating of 89.

However, it is one of the worst reviewed games of the year, by both players and critics, topping the charts.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League scored 63 points with critics and 39 points with fans, making it one of the worst received games of the year so far.

Despite this, it is the best-selling game of the week, likely due to pre-orders and the popularity of DC Comics characters.

Rounding out the list are some of the most popular games of the past year, as well as some games that have endured excellent sales over the years.

Here are the ten best-selling games of the week.

  1. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
  2. Person 3 Reload
  3. Tekken 8
  4. Super Mario Bros. Miracle
  5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  6. EA SportsFC24
  7. Hogwarts legacy
  8. Mortal Kombat 1
  9. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
  10. Grand Theft Auto 5
