Bali is the most popular Indonesian island and is known for its scenic beaches and nightlife, which attracts many young travelers.

But lately, holidaymakers have gone viral on social media complaining about the island paradise, particularly the “horrific traffic” in tourist hotspot Kuta.

A British travel influencer garnered a lot of attention by warning her followers about the destination by filming busy roads and rubbish-lined beaches.

Corrin, posting under the handle @cor_98 on TikTok, she has said she “absolutely hates it” and wondered why “people don't show you this side of things.”

British holidaymaker Corrin, who posts on TikTok as @cor_98, has said she “absolutely hates it” in Bali and wondered why “people don't show you this side of things”

In her first video, posted last week, Corrin said: “Everyone says come to Bali, it's a great place to come – honestly I absolutely hate it, look at this,” as she turned the camera towards Chaotic traffic direction.

She adds: 'The traffic is everywhere, look how busy it is, it's terrible, you can't even move, you can't even cross the road.

'You are standing at a zebra crossing and everyone is still passing by. Literally, you're about to wonder if you're going to get run over – the traffic is unbearable and I've never seen anything like it in my life.

“Honestly, it completely changed my perspective.”

The TikTok has already been seen by more than 680,000 people, with viewers divided in the reactions.

As she walks along the sand, she says to the camera, “So I just arrived at Kuta beach and obviously I know from my last post I was a bit negative.

'But unfortunately I did so much research on TikTok and googling before I came here about where to go, and this place came up, so I really wanted to try it.

“Unfortunately I'm so disappointed with the outcome, just look at this.”

Frustrated, she angrily explains, “There's literally trash everywhere along the waterfront, like it literally goes all the way, what is that anyway?

“Why don't people show you this? And I'm sorry, I'm so sorry to be the person to explain or tell, but if I want to book something and I want to make sure there are good reviews, there are good places to go.

“Why isn't any influencer or anyone telling me, on TikTok or something, that the beaches looked like this?

'Because this isn't what I want. I want something that is fun and relaxing, the beaches are beautiful, but that's not it.

“The beaches are absolutely horrible, what the fuck is this.”

One viewer argued: 'Honey, you are in a third world country and if you did that much research you would see that Kuta is unfortunately like this. Lembongan, Ubud, Susan Dua. The beach where Mari Beach Club is beautiful'.

Another advised: 'Try Uluwatu so many beautiful beaches. Kuta is only good for the shopping, it is more like the Benidorm of Bali.

Someone else admitted: 'I feel like I've had the same experience in Bali as you – I absolutely hated how unclean and run-down it was. You don't see it like that on the internet'.

Others wondered: 'Why go to Kuta' and 'I never understood the hype about Bali, thanks for sharing'.

Located in Badung Regency in southern Bali, Kuta is a magnet for surfers thanks to its high waves.

It comes just after another holidaymaker unleashed an angry tirade in which he criticized Bali for its horrendous traffic and took aim at influencers encouraging everyone to go there.

Richard Monckton uploaded a series of TikToks in which he alternated between calling the entire island 'f***ing poo' and praising locals for their hospitality.

What prompted Monckton's first tirade on Wednesday was Kuta's notoriously chaotic traffic, saying it was “stressing” him out and adding that he had a drastic bias towards Thailand.
