Cate Blanchett showed her funny side this weekend by sharing a hilarious acceptance video where she celebrates after winning an ironic award.
The Aviator star, 54, was crowned the ‘winner’ of the ‘Cate Blanchett Award for Good Acting’ for her work on last year’s psychological drama Tár.
The Melbourne native accepted the cheeky accolade in good humor by happily thanking US pop culture podcast Las Culturistas for bestowing the honor on her.
Blanchett shared a video with the hosts of her party of ecstatically throwing confetti across her bedroom while in her pajamas.
The blonde beauty can’t seem to wipe the smile off her face as she jumps up and down with joy at winning the hilarious prize.

She has tears in her eyes as she drops to her knees in joy and thanks the American comedians for recognizing her hard work on the Golden Globe-winning film.
In January, Cate revealed that her role in Tár was so draining emotionally and physically that she thought about retiring.
Appearing on The Sunday Project, the 54-year-old Australian actress admitted that after the experience she considered quitting the industry for good.

“I think it was because it was such a physical role, the echoes of it are still with me and I think, like many other audience members, I need time to process it,” she said of Tár.
‘Of course I’m lucky enough to work with some amazing directors who have changed my life, but when it all comes together like this, it sticks with you.
“So I never want to work again,” she added with a laugh.

Blanchett, while appearing on The Graham Norton Show, described the film as a “great cancellation culture story.”
It comes after the actress, who plays conductor Lydia Tár in the drama, took home the Best Actress award at the Golden Globes in January for her work on the film.
The talented global acting icon shares four children with her husband, Australian playwright Andrew Upton.
In January, Cate revealed that her role in Tár was so emotionally and physically draining that she thought about retiring.
