“I hope that’s just Sharpie!” Tattoo artist appears to ink glasses on forgetful client who loses their frames – but people aren’t convinced

A tattoo artist has caused an uproar online after tattooing what appear to be glasses on a man’s face.

Maria Gina Altobelli, owner of Gipsy.g Tattoo and Piercing in Fondi, Italy, increased TikTok to share an intriguing clip of her inking black glasses on a customer’s face.

The 30-year-old suggested it was the ideal remedy for those who “always lose your glasses,” then revealed the intricate process of inserting a needle into the man’s eyebrow and around the eyes.

At the end of the video, the man appeared visibly pleased with the results, before approaching a mirror and placing real glasses over the artwork.

The tattoo connoisseur has become somewhat of a media sensation for her rather odd inks, including tattooing bangs on a client’s face. But this time, her fans thought it was all a joke.

Captioning the video, she wrote, “He always loses glasses so he gets them tattooed.”

The viral clip has been viewed nearly 16 million times, with nearly 10,000 comments sharing their disbelief at the shocking tattoo.

The video begins with Maria pulling a covering off the man’s face, before the markings of her drawing become visible.

She then dips a needle into a pot of black ink before tattooing thick black lines on his face – leaving the client wincing in pain.

At the end of the video, Maria reveals the final result, but the viewers were not convinced.

Someone commented on the video saying, “Noooooooo! Please tell me this is just a joke.”

Another said, “You’ve all never had a tattoo and it shows.” And the fact that you all don’t know Sharpie when you see it.”

One person immediately saw that something was wrong: ‘The skin isn’t even red, it can’t really be laughing out loud’.

Maria's fans thought it was all a joke, with one saying the tattoo was done with Sharpie brand permanent marker

“Please tell me this was a joke,” one said.

And someone blamed Maria for the shenanigans, writing, “Tattoo artists should say no sometimes.”

The news comes as a Manchester tattoo artist was tasked with inking a ripped six-pack on a man who wanted to be summer-ready without having to hit the gym.

Dean Gunther revealed that the whole process took a total of two days, which is significantly less than the time you’d spend in the gym getting them naturally.

Photos show Dean carefully marking his client’s body with intricate muscular lines before tattooing the burly muscles on his stomach.

Dean said: ‘He’s always wanted to have a six pack, but he’s not much into going to the gym or dieting.

So he decided that getting a six-pack tattoo would always make him look summer-ready while still enjoying beer and good food.

“I was excited to get this tattoo because I’ve seen someone do it before, but it didn’t look realistic and it was simple black outlines.

So I decided to take on this challenge and do it completely differently.

“It’s been one of my most unusual requests, but I’m all for it.”

The video of the tattoo process has been viewed thousands of times on TikTok, with people responding to the rare request.
