She never puts a step wrong when it comes to fashion.

And Charli XCX cut a chic figure as she stepped out in style in New York City on Tuesday.

The singer, 31, showed off her toned legs in a gray pleated miniskirt which she wore with a simple warm black sweater.

The star – whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison – completed her look with long leather boots and a winter coat while out in the winter sunshine.

She carried a chic bag and wore stylish sunglasses to protect her eyes from the rays.

She wore her dark locks pulled back and opted for a low-key makeup look to show off her beautiful facial features.

Charli has teamed up with fellow pop singer Sam Smith on her new song In The City, which is described as a nightclub disco song.

She previously explained that the song was about “connecting” with others during wild nights.

She said: ‘The song is about finding the people you truly love and connect with during wild nights and parties in magical places.’

The Hot In It hitmaker added at the time that ‘acceptance’ is the song’s core message.

She also noted that it served as a way to “accept” people from the queer community.

She added: “It’s about the feeling of being accepted, the beauty of being welcomed into queer spaces and about the people you meet once in a lifetime when you’re there.”

Charli recently appeared on BBC Radio One to premiere the song and was mobbed by her fans upon arrival at the studio.
