New Delhi: Vande Bharat is one of the most popular and comfortable trains in India and makes the already comfortable train travel easier. Launched in 2019, the Vande Bharat express train is an AC Chair Car that connects multiple cities across the country. In a latest update the schedule of the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat has been changed and the new schedule will remain active until March 27, 2024. Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express schedule change

As mentioned earlier, there has been a change in the schedule of the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express that runs via Bengaluru. Earlier, the AC chair car operated six days a week except Wednesday, but now the announced new change has expanded the train service from six to all seven days of the week. This change will remain in effect until almost the end of next month, March 27, 2024. The schedule change will apply from Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

According to a statement from South Western Railway, train number 06037 of Dr. MGR Chennai Central to Mysuru Vande Bharat Express runs every day as well as train number 06038 from Mysuru to Dr. MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express.

Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express Timings, Details

The running time of the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express is 500 km and it takes 6 hours and 25 minutes to cover this distance. Train Number 06037 – Chennai Mysuru Vande Bharat departs from Chennai at 5:50 AM and reaches Mysuru at 12:20 PM; the breaks include Katpadi and KSR Bengaluru.

Train number 06038 Mysuru Chennai Vande Bharat departs from Mysuru at 1:05 PM and reaches Chennai at 7:20 PM; the breaks are KSR Bengaluru and Katpadi. This train was the first ever Vande Bharat Express in South India and was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019.

The train is a success and runs at 100 percent occupancy; Speaking about the train, RN Singh, Managing Director, South Western Railways (SWR) said, “Making of semi-high speed trains operational on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru route is being considered. These trains would travel at a speed of 200 km per hour. An evaluation is currently underway to integrate the high-speed line into the rail network.
