I'm a dumpster diver and am constantly drowning in all the goodies I come across

There is no denying that food prices have increased in recent years.

But one woman has revealed exactly how she gets free groceries – except her rather unusual method isn't for everyone.

Sofie spends her evenings searching through trash cans in hopes of hitting the jackpot and stocking her refrigerator for the next few weeks.

And after sharing the results of her latest dive, we can say that her findings are quite impressive.

In a clip posted to TikTok (@dumpsterdivingwsoff), she can be seen looking into a giant black bin filled to the brim with produce.

Presumably they are close to their expiration date, or have simply been thrown away by the supermarkets for some reason.

Goodies include breads, wafer-thin ham and oranges.

And don't forget something to wash it all down with…

Sofie can be seen looking delighted as she stands beaming next to three crates of Pilsner beer and two twenty packs of Pepsi, which have also been thrown away.

“POV: You're a dumpster diver and you're constantly drowning in food and drink,” she says.

She takes her findings home and shows how much she has been able to avoid dumpster diving by putting her drink cans on the top of her cupboards.

She also shows off her fridge, which is packed with everything from orange juice to apro milk and condiments.

For those with a sweet tooth, Sofie also managed to get her hands on some custard pastries – and there's no doubt she won't have to worry about another dumpster dive anytime soon.

She opens the freezer door and struggles to put more food in.

“Please send help!” she jokes.

Sofie captioned the post: “I will never buy food or drinks again!! It never ceases to amaze me how much delicious food and delicious drinks are wasted EVERY DAY!!

“I'm literally drowning in drinks and food…”

The post has since gone viral, racking up thousands of views and several comments from social media users.

“I also dumpster dive and my freezer is the same,” wrote one.

Sofie replied: “It's crazy!”

A second enthused: “Great idea!”

A third wrote: “Wow amazing!”

And a fourth added: “I want this!”
