If you've been scrolling through social media in recent weeks, you've probably seen Amazon's rechargeable foot warmer.

As temperatures dropped in Britain, things got fluffy boots went viral on Tiktok and remote workers were eager to get their hands on the 'must have' gadget.

That's not surprising as the faux fur-lined product costs just £14 and stays warm for hours on a single charge.

However, savvy shoppers have found another essential WFH on the high street and claim it's even better value for money.

The Dunelm item is known as the 'mono slipper' and is said to keep your toes 'toasted' for hours.

Instead of having to charge your slippers every few hours, just give them a quick charge before sitting down at your desk – it's that simple.

In fact, you'll have a hard time stepping away from your desk because the slippers have a plush lining made of super soft polyester to keep you extra cozy.

Size isn't an issue either, as the mono slipper is designed to hold both feet and has enough room to prevent your toes from getting pinched.

However, the design isn't the only reason we're obsessed with this gadget.

The Dunelm slippers have become so popular online that they already have a 4.8 star rating online, with shoppers raving about how good they are.

One even wrote: “Roasted feet while working from home. I get really cold and my feet turn into blocks of ice. I just pop the pillow in the microwave and have warm feet all morning.”

Another reviewer even revealed how the monoslipper helped their daughter with a serious medical condition this winter.

“This was one Christmas pressure for my daughter who suffers from Reynards,” they said, adding: “It certainly warmed her feet well and was so easy to use.”

For those still not sold, these shoes can help you save even more money.

Although the Amazon foot warmer is good value for money, it still costs 2.7 cents per hour to charge – based on comparable items such as electric blankets.

By comparison, it only costs 1 cent to run your microwave for three minutes, meaning the Dumelm product can stay hot for longer while still paying less.

In fact, the WFH essential is already on sale and has already been reduced from €15 to just €10.50.

But it's best to put on your running shoes, because we think the monoslipper will sell out both in store and online.

Since so many shoppers are obsessed with this item, you might come across a few next one time you are in the office.
