EastEnders fans are shocked as they finally discover the identity of the murder victim in a very unexpected twist in the Christmas special

After ten nerve-wracking months of speculation, EastEnders fans finally found out which character was killed off in the explosive Christmas Day special.

The BBC soap made history in an episode in February when they teased a flash forward but kept the identity of the corpse and the killer a major secret.

The wait was finally over for viewers as the murder victim and killer were revealed in shocking scenes on Christmas Day, with a very unexpected twist.

The episode came to an explosive conclusion as Denise Fox (Diane Parish) was seen hitting Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) over the head with a bottle as she tried to defend his wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) from his abuse – but all was not so it seemed.

Although Nish initially appeared dead, Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) stormed into the Queen Victoria pub and, upon seeing Nish’s body, became involved in a fight with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) after their wedding was called off when his attempted kidnapping her. son Albie was revealed.

Despite Nish seemingly being revealed as the murder victim, Keanu attempted to strangle Sharon when she told him she would send him to prison for his attempted kidnapping of Albie if he said anything about Nish’s apparent death.

In a very unexpected twist, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) then took a knife and stabbed Keanu in the back in an attempt to save Sharon’s life, with Suki resurrecting her abusive husband Nish in the final moments of the episode.

Fans were completely shocked by the unexpected twist as they did not expect Keanu to be killed in the final seconds of the episode and Nish to be saved by Suki.

In the run-up to the murder, Sharon and Keanu’s wedding was thrown into chaos when two huge bombs were dropped on the big day.

Sharon’s ex Phil (Steve McFadden) first crashed the wedding with Keanu’s sister Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) when they told Sharon he was involved in Albie’s attempted kidnapping.

Phil stormed into the church shouting, ‘Don’t do it. It was him, he was behind Albie’s kidnapping.’

To which Keanu replied: ‘He’s just jealous, ignore him. I’m your brother, don’t do this.’

But Keanu’s sister Bernie also turned on him and shouted: ‘You have turned your back on us, we are not good enough for you. You can’t lie all your life.’

Shocked by the news, Sharon took a swing at her husband-to-be and punched him as he stood at the altar.

After leaving the altar, Sharon said, “That day he went missing, you were the only person who understood and gave me some comfort. How could you do that!’

Keanu replied, “It wasn’t planned but you were going to take him and I knew we could be a family together and I love you.”

Sharon dropped her jaw in a second bombshell, telling Keanu: “You threw your own mother under the bus. Albie isn’t yours, you’re not his father and thank goodness he doesn’t have your disguise genes. It’s Phil’s!’

Just as she revealed who her son’s father really is, Phil walked in and looked completely stunned at the news.

He said, He’s what… Albie is mine. Is this true?’ to which Sharon replied, “It’s true I found out a few months ago.”

The wedding turned out to be more eventful than expected as Walford’s leading ladies – Stacey (Lacey Turner), Suki, Linda, Denise and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) – joined Sharon and headed to the Vic to process the day’s events.

The six women have all been wronged by the men in their lives, leaving EastEnders fans guessing who the victim was all year long.

Some EastEnders viewers had ruled out Phil Mitchell and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) as they believed they had not caused as much trouble as the other men on the square.

Although they cheated on their partners, Nish and Ravi (Aaron Thiara) are murderers, while Keanu (Danny Walters) planned to kidnap his son Albie, Dean (Matt Di Angelo) raped Linda and Tom ‘Rocky’ Cotton (Brian Conley) had done. a gambling problem.

As the girls enjoyed drinks, Phil determinedly went to the Queen Vic and told Sharon he wanted to get to know Albie because ‘family means everything’, but she told him he wasn’t ‘ruining’ her son’s life.

Elsewhere, Suki managed to escape from abusive husband Nish and came clean to the other women about her long-running affair with Eve in another big reveal.

She told the group of women who gathered to support her in the pub: “It’s me and Eve, it’s who we are. We are in love.’

Shocked, the other women all showed their support for Suki and tried to convince her not to run, insisting that her abusive husband would be the one to disappear, while urging her to invite him to the pub for a test of strength.

Accepting Suki’s invitation to talk, Nish burst into the pub and said, “Merry Christmas ladies, what a pleasant surprise, Suki.” If you’ll excuse us, this is a private matter. Grab your jacket. Come on.’

Suki cut her husband off as the other women all stood in support, then told him she was “leaving him” and that she “wanted him out of her house.”

Nish got angry and said, ‘Where’s Eve? Have you come to your senses or has she really brainwashed you? Do you think I’m going to listen to you a lot?

The women all stood up for Suki and said, ‘What are you going to do, we are all witnesses. Go back under your rock, she doesn’t want to be your wife.’

Nish tried a different approach and began begging Suki to stay, saying that he “needs her” and that he “loves her so much.”

However, Suki had enough and turned away, prompting him to grab her and attempt to drag her out of the pub by force, causing a huge fight to break out.

Not knowing what to do, Denise grabbed a champagne bottle from the side and hit Nish on the head, causing him to fall to the ground, seemingly lifeless.

In complete shock, everyone looked at each other as Sharon walked over to check his pulse and declared, “He’s dead!”

The other ladies shouted, ‘Check again. Call an ambulance while they all watched.

Suki rushed over and started giving the compressions, saying, “You don’t understand how it was that easy, no!”

Just as the drama was unfolding, Keanu walked into the Queen Vic to see Rish lying dead on the floor and shouting at Sharon.

He said, ‘You just killed a man, where is Albie. You just killed someone, you go to jail, before running away to try to take the child from her.

She replied, “You ruined your own family and I swear to God you will never see Albie again, he is not your son.”

As she said those last words, Keanu grabbed her by the throat and began choking her, while the other women screamed at him.

Linda saved Sharon’s life, grabbed a knife from the side and, in a shocking twist, stabbed him powerfully in the back.

Keanu staggered back in pain and quickly fell to his knees, dead.

As Keanu fell to the ground, Nish was seen taking one breath as Suki gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation – seemingly saving his fate.

Suki ran into the room shouting “he’s alive” as she resuscitated her husband Nish, only to see Keanu’s body with a knife in his back.
