Royal fans have compared a photo released for Father’s Day of Prince William and his three children to an image of Diana and her two sons.

In the photo with Diana, she can be seen smiling as a young Prince William – five years old – wraps his arms around her neck as he beams.

Prince Harry, who was about three years old at the time, sits next to his mother, her arm around him, the young royal.

The princes are both smartly dressed – they wear blue shirts and ties – while Diana is dressed in a white blouse.

The photo was taken at Highgrove House, Gloucestershire, in 1988, when Diana would have been about 27 years old.

Prince Louis has also been compared to his mother, the Princess of Wales, when fans spoke of a photo taken in April ahead of his fifth birthday.

The Prince of Wales has his arm around his eldest child, Prince George, nine, just as Diana was placed with Harry.

In the adorable family photo, Princess Charlotte, eight, smiles as she stares at her dad.

They’ve even chosen the same color scheme as the Wales’ blue and white clothing.

The family has also given a nod to the late Queen as they sit on a bench installed in Windsor to commemorate her 90th birthday on April 19, 2016.

A user on Twitter captioned the two images “Prince William lovingly clinging to his mother. More than 30 years later, he also experiences how it felt for Diana.’

The Tweet has been viewed nearly 50,000 times and has been liked by more than 3,500 people – with royal fans commenting on the similarity.

One of them wrote: ‘It is so good to witness William’s reverence for his mother. So brave. Nice to see Diana more in him every day!’

Another said: “William is Diana’s double. She would be so proud of him.’

A third wrote: “My favorite post of the day!”

A fourth commented, ‘Oh my god, this is a great find! And soooo sweet! Thank you!’

The family were out for Trooping the Color yesterday, as Prince Louis once again ‘stole the show’ with his cheeky antics.

He made faces at his siblings and grumpily covered his ears as he celebrated the annual event – at one point he covered his nose making it look like he’d smelled something unpleasant.

One moment, the youngest Welsh child was covering his nose and mouth in what is considered disgust, after catching a whiff of horse dung.

Louis is a favorite among royal viewers thanks to his enthusiasm during public appearances.

The three children then joined their parents and the rest of their family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the iconic flypast.

Standing next to his two younger siblings, George was filmed pointing to the sky before speaking to his parents.

Although the audio is not clear, some believe George identifies an aircraft, to which the proud Prince of Wales appears to say ‘yes, that’s it, good boy!’
