Even iPhone owners who use Apple’s rival are impressed, saying it may be time to “throw away” iCloud.

Google One Premium plans start from £7.99 with 2TB of storage available, which is plenty of room to keep your photos and phone videos.

Backups work on Google Drive and the Google Photos app, both of which are also available on the iPhone.

But bargain hunters have noticed that some Google One Premium plans now offer two additional benefits.

According to shoppers on HotUKDeals, Nest Aware and Fitbit Premium are now thrown in for good measure.

Nest Aware, which offers video highlights with event-based history for your Nest camera devices, normally costs £6 per month.

And Fitbit Premium, with access to workouts and more advanced fitness data, normally costs £7.99 per month.

Previously it would cost you all three £21.98, but now it’s £7.99.

So you can save up to £13 per month if you subscribe to all plans individually.

And those who don’t can start using them at no additional cost.

Android fans are getting a big upgrade to turbo Wi-Fi and 5G on their next phone

“Seems like a good deal to me; cheaper than iCloud and both Apple and Android cross-platform compatibility possible,” wrote one bargain hunter.

“I’m going to ditch iCloud 2TB and move to a shared 2TB platform, mainly for photo sharing and storage.”

Another wrote: “I paid £6 a month for Nest Aware, in addition to £7.99 a month for my Google version. So now I save £6 a month!”

How to Save Google Drive Storage

Google offers 15 GB of free storage, which not only holds your photo and video backups, but also your Gmail data.

Over time this can build up and reach your limit, but there are some tips to free up some storage space quickly.

First, Google has a page that suggests ways to free up space for you to visit here.

There is also a quick way to check your account for large files that contain a lot of data.

Log into your Google Drive account from a computer and click the Storage option in the left menu.

Here you see the largest files at the top. Even deleting a few of those can be enough to free up a lot of space, but make sure it’s something you don’t want to keep.
