Groovin the Moo: Popular music festival cancels Australian shows two months before they were due to start

One of Australia's biggest music festivals has had to cancel its upcoming tour of shows just two months before it was due to start.

Groovin the Moo organizers announced on Wednesday that the festivals in regional Australia would not go ahead in 2024, citing poor ticket sales.

The touring festival was due to appear in cities including Canberra, Bendigo, Newcastle, Bunbury and the Sunshine Coast in April and May.

'Ticket sales have not been sufficient to realize such a regional festival. All tickets will be automatically refunded,” the organizers posted on social media.

'Thank you to everyone who supported the festival. We hope to bring Groovin the Moo back to regional communities in the future.”

More to come.
