MAFS groom Collins Christian has broken his silence on his tumultuous marriage to Natalie Parham.

Contrary to swirling rumors, Collins made it clear that he was never desperate to join MAFS.

'I've never applied for a job before. I have been approached [by producers] all three times,” he claimed, acknowledging the show's appeal as a “huge platform” but denying that any previous attempts had been made to be cast.

Collins admitted that he struggled with the way he was portrayed, acknowledging that while he strove to be real, the editing did not always reflect his genuine intentions.

“It's hard because I can't sit here and say, 'No, I was real.' I certainly was, but what's on the screen, I can't fault anything they say,” he said in response to claims he was playing to the cameras.

Collins admitted that he felt powerless over the story unfolding on television, and acknowledged that key context was often left out, giving viewers a distorted view of his actions.

'I sucked. I absolutely sucked,” he admitted, acknowledging his failure to live up to Natalie's expectations and his own.

'I've come across fakes'

Christian addressed allegations that he was merely putting on a performance for the cameras during his time.

He pointed to “a lot of behind-the-scenes factors” that ultimately didn't make the cut, suggesting that these omissions could have provided vital context for his actions.

However, the MAFS star did not shy away from criticizing his own performance on the show, acknowledging his shortcomings and the impact of his actions on Natalie.

'I come across a dismissive, fake actor. All those things,” he admitted, revealing the personal toll of witnessing his portrayal and the public backlash that followed.

Collins expressed his deepest regret that he could not share Skye Suites with Natalie.

He said that despite sharing separate rooms on their honeymoon, Natalie requested extra space, forcing producers to move him to another room.

“There was even one time when she and I were in separate apartments and… I called the hotel and said, 'Can I please speak to Nat?' And they say, “Who are you?” And I pretend to be her brother,” he shared, emphasizing the effort he made to stay connected.

'I just wanted to check on her and called the hotel. “Hey, Nat, how are you?” It definitely took her by surprise,” he admitted.

'This is the first time I've heard her say she doesn't trust me. And I know I didn't lie about anything,” Collins said.

Natalie cited her belief that Collins had applied to appear on the show multiple times as her concern.
