This is the hilarious moment a man fell straight through his trampoline into a puddle of water while trying to get his dog to bounce with him.

The blunder, which was captured on a CCTV camera at home in Buckingham, involved 26-year-old Charlie Bond trying to teach his dog how to use the gardening device.

He runs through the garden before jumping on the little 15 year old trampoline.

His pup watches as he tries to jump onto his knees, but the force causes the material to split in two and he quickly disappears into the cold water below.

The dog looks on in confusion and his two other puppies also run over to get a closer look. Charlie was not injured, but did get soaked.

His mother Samantha Hunter, 55, was away with family when she was informed of the shocking blunder.

The accountant said: ‘He tried to get the puppy to jump with him, but the trampoline is about 15 years old!

‘In the winter it’s actually full of water, so there was about half a meter of water under it. He fell straight on his stomach!’

She added: “We were out at the time and he sent us a video of himself drenched in the torn trampoline.

‘So I looked at the CCTV camera and laughed so much. We were skiing at the time and no one could watch it without laughing!

‘Luckily he was fine, but the puppy looked a little worried for a moment. He just couldn’t believe he had experienced it.’

The hilarious moment comes just after a new study from experts at ELTE University in Budapest revealed the top three signs your dog is ‘gifted’.

This includes the ability to learn a new toy name in just 30 minutes, as well as the ability to master as many as 50 names over the course of two years.

Previous studies have shown that certain dogs can learn new words after hearing them just four times, putting them on the same level as a two-year-old child.

Border Collies in particular are known as one of the most ‘gifted’ breeds, although the skill is also found in other dog breeds.
