A woman who is dating a man 13 years her junior has revealed that people often mistake her for his mother.

Mel Moon, 43, from Burnley, has been married to her husband Alfie, 30, since 2021, but says people who don’t know the couple are passing judgment on their romance.

She also claimed that people assume Alfie is only with her for her money – and joked that she doesn’t have enough money for him to take.

The mother of three children, who often posts about her marriage TikToktook to her page to post a hilarious video poking fun at the age difference between herself and Alfie.

The clip, which has been viewed more than 240,000 times, was captioned: ‘My husband and I are in an age gap relationship. Hopefully this clarifies things haha.

The comedian and Alfie revealed details about their age-gap relationship.

She said: ‘We are in an age gap relationship so when we go out someone will call me their mother at least once.

Alfie then said: ‘We are in an age gap relationship and when she refers to our childhood she really means hers as I wasn’t even born yet.’

Mel explained that because her husband is younger, she doesn’t have to worry about him playing with her emotions.

She said: ‘We’re in an age gap relationship, so when I tell him to stop playing games, I mean literal PS5 games, not games with my feelings.’
