A mother has paid tribute to her ‘amazing’ son who died along with two women in a horror crash.

The schoolboy’s ‘heartbroken’ mother has now opened up about her PAW Patrol-loving son.

Mum Gemma said she found out Leo had died when she received a tragic phone call not long after the two-car crash.

She remembered the horror moment today near the crash site where dozens of flowers were placed.

The mother said: “Leo was a wonderful little boy.

“He always had a smile on his face and was a lot of fun. I am heartbroken that I will not see him again.

“He loved PAW Patrol and I gave him pajamas with his favorite characters on them.

“He said he loved wearing ‘mommy’s pajamas.’

Gemma added: “I’m so numb.

“The road has a speed limit of 50 km/h, but is known for speeding. I don’t know who the men were, but I was told they were in their twenties.”

The mother said Leo had been in a foster home, but she was looking forward to him moving back in with her in the coming months.

Gemma said through tears: ‘The last time I saw Leo was earlier Christmas. His birthday was on Christmas Eve, so I gave him his presents.

“Leo was in a foster home, but the hope was that he would come back to live with me full-time in December.

“I was very excited to get my son home again.”

West Midlands The ambulance service was called to the A44 in Spetchley at 3.07pm on Thursday.

Two air ambulances were sent and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving a call about a two-car crash.

Two women, aged 26 and 39, who were driving the same car as Leo, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The boy was rushed to hospital, but died a short time later.

Two male patients from a second car were taken to hospital Birmingham.

The ambulance service said: “The child was given advanced life support before being transported via blue light via land ambulance to Worcester Royal Hopital but unfortunately shortly after arrival it became clear that he could not be saved and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“Medicine provided advanced life support to both female patients, but unfortunately, despite everyone’s best efforts, they could not be saved and they were confirmed dead at the scene.”

The tragic crash took place outside the gates of the extensive Spetchley Park Gardens.

The spokesperson added: “The ambulance crew were grateful for the assistance provided by Police and colleagues from the fire brigade on site, as all three emergency services worked well together in extremely difficult circumstances,” the spokeswoman added.

Mark Davidson, Chief Inspector of West Mercia Police, said: “This is an incredibly sad incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have sadly lost their lives.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage to contact police as you may be able to assist with our investigation into what happened.”
