IRAN has crossed America's 'red line' by killing its troops and Washington 'must strike NOW' to prevent World War III, a former US ambassador has warned.

Mark Wallace told The Sun Iranian Terrorist leaders should prepare to be wiped out as the only “right action” is an act of terror large-scale bombing of their military bases in Iran.

Wallace, former US ambassador to the UN, said: “President Biden has established his red line with Iranwhich meant that if American soldiers were killed, he would act decisively – that line has been crossed.”

He stated that more than 160 Iran-backed attacks on US assets are needed at this point, but he hopes Biden will “respect the red line.”

He said: “This is the key to preventing World War III.

“Without deterrence, war will break out with Iran.

“Iran has shown its behavior in the past: it is a paper tiger, it presses and presses and presses, but when confronted they will always back down.

“It is imperative that Biden respects his red line – and takes decisive action now.”

Wallace argued that the “right action” should include attacking the headquarters and bases of Iran's feared terrorist army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

“From these locations, the IRGC has been able to enable and train its proxies to carry out barbaric attacks across the region in Israel, Iraq, Syria and the Red Sea,” he said.

American officials announced this today Washington had finalized its plans for multi-day retaliatory strikes about Iranian personnel and targets in Iraq and Syria, CBS reports.

The planned strikes are a response to this weeks of aggressive drone and missile attacks on American troops stationed across the US Middle East amid Israel's ongoing war with Hamas.

The attacks reached a climax last Sunday when an Iranian-backed militia launched a drone attack on a US base near the border with Iran. JordanSyria border, murder three troops and dozens of others were injured.

Military forces within Iran must feel the wrath of the US

It was the first time since the start of the war in Gaza that American troops in the Middle East were killed by enemy fire.

Yesterday, Iran issued a chilling warning about this they are “not afraid of war” as tensions reach boiling point.

The head of the IRGC, Major General Hossein Salami, raged: “We are hearing some threats from US officials about attacking Iran. We tell them that you tested us and that we know each other.

“We leave no threat unanswered, and we do not look forward to war, but we do not fear it either. This is the known truth.”

But former Ambassador Wallace argued that General Salami must “find a mouse hole to hide in” as the US launches strategic strikes and targets Iran's leadership.

“Forces inside Iran must feel the wrath of the US,” he warned.

A former British general told The Sun this week that the The US must use 'severe force' on Iran as quickly as possible, otherwise you risk more attacks.

Colonel Richard Kemp said: “It's not good enough for the Americans to only respond to Iran's allies, now they must respond to Iran itself.”

He explained that the US would have to launch a “significant” attack, not just a tit-for-tat response.

Kemp continued: “Iran needs to learn a very powerful lesson about American deterrence.

“It should target IRGC positions, bases and individuals, resulting in severe destruction and death of Iranian terrorists responsible for these attacks.”

However, the US has not announced what its current plans are, but objectives have been chosen and plans finalized.

At a press conference this afternoon, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said this was a “very dangerous moment in the Middle East”.

He said: “The president will not tolerate attacks on American forces, and neither will I. Our teammates were killed by radical militants backed by Iran operating in Syria and Iraq.”

Following the October 7 Hamas massacre, Iran-backed rebels “attempted to stir up further unrest.”

Austin added: “We will take all necessary actions to defend the United States, our interests and our people.

“We will respond when we choose, where we choose and how we choose.”

In response to the deadly drone strike, Washington had vowed a “very consistent response” and warned it would come soon.

US national security spokesman John Kirby said last night: 'Just because you haven't seen anything in the last 48 hours doesn't mean you won't see anything.

“The first thing you see won't be the last.”

Iran denied involvement in Sunday's attack, but the Pentagon said it accepted it “footprints” of the Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq.

The Iraq-based terror organization said on Tuesday it was withdrawing and announced the suspension of its military operations against US assets in the region.

The decision appeared to be motivated by fear of expected US retaliatory attacks.
