Jennifer Garner danced with Rockettes in video for Reese Witherspoon

Jennifer Garner shows Reese Witherspoon how much she loves her through a grand gesture – and dance moves.

“My friend Reese sent me a DM yesterday,” Garner, 51, began her video Instagram on Saturday, December 2, in a joint post with the official Radio City Rockettes account.

The Family switch actress then shared a screenshot of a direct message on Instagram between her and Witherspoon, 47. The Morning show star messaged Garner from the Rockettes’ account, writing, “Please go dance with the Rockets.” [sic].” Garner replied, “What would I give.”

“She didn’t know I happened to be in New York,” Garner said in the video. “And despite all our friendship, I pretty much do whatever she says.”

In the following excerpt, the 13 on the way to 30 alum showed a screenshot of the pair’s text message conversation, in which she sent Witherspoon a photo of her feet on top of the Radio City Music Hall doormat. “For you,” Garner wrote.

“Wait!!! What??? Am I psychic???” Witherspoon responded in a series of text messages, to which Garner said, “No. You manifested it.”

The next clip showed the Rockettes in a single file, with each dancer moving to the side to reveal Garner, who was standing in the back and walking next to them. Garner was all smiles as she joined the Rockettes in their famous kickline. To end the video, the Rockettes shouted “Merry Christmas, Reese!” As they waved at the camera.

“Here’s to twenty years of ‘yes ma’am’, with my buddy @reesewitherspoon. ♥️🎄♥️ Thanks @therockettes for playing – you’re incredible! ⭐️⭐️⭐️” Garner captioned her post.

Witherspoon, for her part, raved about her friend’s sweet gesture, writing on her Instagram Story that Garner made her “all holiday season.”

“Uhm…. This may be the greatest gift I have ever received from this glorious, joy-seeking/dance-loving woman! Jen you made my whole holiday season 🥰❤️💫🎁” Witherspoon captioned her own Instagram post on Saturday, alongside the video.

The Rockettes also joined in, posting Garner’s video to their Instagram Story on Saturday and writing, “We’d love to dance with you too @reesewitherspoon!”

While the pair recently worked together on the AppleTV+ mystery series The last thing he told me, starring Garner and executive produced by Witherspoon, their friendship goes even deeper. In October, Garner recalled the support she received from her boyfriend during a “very public, very difficult moment.”

“She was right and the way to get through it was dance cardio,” Garner said during a panel discussion at Hello Sunshine’s first Shine Away Event. “And I danced cardio so hard that we broke her foot, but she kept going!”

“Just keep dancing, ladies,” Witherspoon joked. “Just keep dancing.”
