A few days ago the Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III has been diagnosed cancer and that he started treatment immediately. Days after this announcement, King Charles made his first official statement in the form of a personal letter. The 75-year-old king released this personal letter to the public, thanking them for the support and good wishes he has received from around the world. As previously mentioned, King Charles III has released a personal letter, which is his first response – his first statement following Buckingham Palace's announcement that he has cancer. The letter bears the red seal of Sandringham House and is also signed by the King – Charles R. The King has thanked everyone around the world for all the good wishes he has received.

King Charles III's personal letter reads: “I would like to express my sincere thanks for the many expressions of support and good wishes I have received in recent days. As anyone affected by cancer will know, such regal thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.” The King of Great Britain has also said he is pleased that his diagnosis has promoted public understanding of the disease.

The letter continues: “It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shined a light on the work of all those organizations supporting cancer patients and their families in the Support UK and the rest of the world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater because of my own personal experience.”
