Love is healing! Love is blind Micah Lussier blossoms after her breakup with ex-fiancée Paul Peden.

“Truly, I have never felt happier, lighter and more in tune with myself. sometimes you have to hit the lowest lows to get where you need to be ♥️ #mentalhealthawarenessmonth,” Lussier, 27, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, June 8 alongside a video featuring moments from her life over the past year.

In the montage, the reality star is seen crying several times before adding clips of herself traveling the world. enjoying delicious food and enjoying time at the lake with her friends.

Micah’s post comes less than two weeks after her former fiancé Peden, 29, debuted his new romance with girlfriend Geneva Dunham through social media. “Possibly the best cocktails in San Diego,” the environmental scientist captioned a sweet selfie of him and Dunham while on vacation in California.

Lussier and Peden got engaged to the pods in Season 4 of the Netflix dating series, which premiered in March. The duo faced a handful of challenges on their way to the altar – including Micah’s lingering feelings for fellow contestant Kwame Appia — and ended up not getting married.

When the time came to say, “I do,” Lussier insisted that Peden be the first to answer on their wedding day. “It was pretty much the last chance [for Paul] to show me, for example, that you are willing to take the risk and take the plunge,” she shared exclusively Us weekly in April of the exciting final moment. “And I think answering him first was really the only way to do that. I was afraid he might say yes if I said yes – and I really wanted him to answer from his heart.

Paul, for his part, told it Us that he was “super torn” about his choice “until the moment” he stood in front of his bride.

“And I hadn’t made the decision yet, you know, as soon as it came out of my mouth, the decision was made,” he explained. “I do not regret it. It was the right choice at the time, I think, and it was a realization that while we loved who we were at the time, there’s a lot more to being married to someone than just that.

While a couple gave their relationship another try after the cameras stopped rolling, they finally decided to end it for good ahead of the Season 4 reunion in April.

“We decided we would give it a try, and in the end we gave it a go,” Micah explained Entertainment tonight at the time. “At that point we were doing long distances and what was really hard about that was the base was such a mess.”

Peden later faced heat from Lussier – and cohost Vanessa Lachey — when he confessed that he couldn’t see the marketing campaign manager as a mother. For Lussier, this was the moment the book on the couple’s romances closed forever.

“I think I’ve always had a place in my heart that maybe there was a future for Paul and after hearing that, not only is it clearly not there, but there really never was,” she said. ET in April. “And I feel a little cheated. I think growing, continuing and moving forward is the horizon.”
