The Red Devils were in second place all over the pitch when they lost a Fulham winner in the 97th minute.

And the result leaves them eight points behind fourth place, putting their Champions League hopes for next season in serious doubt.

The pressure could quickly increase for Ten Hag, who has a new boss in Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The British billionaire says he wants to “dethrone Liverpool and Man City.”

And Ten Hag is convinced United are on the right track after sending out a defiant message following the Fulham game.

But former Red Devils captain Valencia is not so sure.

He took to Twitter to deliver a scathing verdict on United’s latest performance.

Valencia posted a photo of himself during his days at Old Trafford and wrote on X: “There were never any excuses for this shirt until the last minute.”
