The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars announced in July that they were splitting after 27 years of marriage, but they have not made any progress on whether they will divorce or reconcile.
Mauricio, 53, is reportedly afraid to bring up his wife’s close friendship with Morgan, 29, while Kyle, 55, is said to be afraid to ask her estranged husband how he feels about dating other women.
“Mauricio and Kyle are strangely close,” a source told DailyMail.com.

“They both feel that if they have these difficult conversations, it will lead them to a final place where they will never find a friendship again, let alone a marriage — but that’s exactly what they have to do to keep their relationship going.” to recover.

The estranged couple, who tied the knot in 1996, have daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16.
Kyle is also mother to daughter Farrah, 35, who she has with ex, Guraish Aldjufrie.

The source adds that Kyle, 55, is also afraid to ask her estranged husband, 53, how he feels about dating other women.
Earlier this month, the actress and socialite admitted she’d been “curious” about kissing a woman in a teaser for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale — and spoke out about dating rumors surrounding herself and Morgan.
She also got teary as she addressed the cheating rumors about her estranged husband.
During the reunion, the reality star said it was “no one’s business” as to the reasoning behind the divorce.
She brought up a comment made in the season 13 finale, in which the star previously said, “Things happened that caused [her] to lose [her] to trust.’
Kyle became emotional and told host Andy Cohen, “In every marriage there are issues, and they come up, and then something happened like I said in my interview that made me lose my trust.”
In addition to their breakup, Mauricio and Kyle have also dealt with family drama.

Earlier this week, Paris Hilton slammed her uncle Mauricio for publicly discussing a family feud that erupted years ago over business.
In his new Netflix series Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio recalled how he left Paris’ father’s firm, Hilton & Hyland, in 2011 to start a rival agency, causing an explosive rift between Kyle and her family, who didn’t talk to her anymore.
Paris angrily denounced Mauricio for “using the Hilton name every chance he got to plug his lame show.”
“My dad is a perfect gentleman and has always taken the higher road,” she wrote on Instagram.

An insider close to Mauricio has since insisted to DailyMail.com that he did not want to upset Kyle with his comments about her family’s affairs.

On social media, she blasted Mauricio for “using the Hilton name every chance he got to plug his lame show.”
“Mauricio hates that Kyle’s friends and family are against him for everything he does,” she added.
“He tries not to upset Kyle, but her friends piss her off and make it seem like everything he says or does is against her, which is so far from the truth.
‘He’s just being himself and Kyle has been made to believe he can’t be trusted.
“He would love it if Kyle was by his side all the time. Her army of friends and family want nothing to do with him. It seems like an impossible task to break through those walls.”
The real estate mogul addressed Paris’ comments in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying he split from the Hilton’s because he wanted to “take care” of his family.
“Look, it’s sad that she got so upset about that, but at the end of the day, it’s two businessmen making two business decisions,” he told the publication.
‘I felt like I deserved something. I asked for something, he didn’t want to do it, and then I decided to go alone.
“I wanted to provide for my family, I wanted to be successful, I wanted to move forward, I wanted to do the most I could, and ultimately I made that decision to just keep doing this thing. . There’s certainly no bad blood on my side.’
