Mumbai: US citizen found dead in five-star hotel room in Andheri area, probe launched

Mumbai: A 62-year-old US national was found dead at a five-star hotel in Maharashtra’s Andheri area of ​​Mumbai on Tuesday morning. He was reportedly found lifeless at the JW Marriott Hotel, Sahar, located in Andheri East. The deceased man, identified as Mark Williams, arrived in Mumbai on March 9 and planned to return on March 14. “The US citizen was in Mumbai for a meeting and had been staying at the hotel since March 9,” officials said.

Mumbai Sahar police have registered an accident report (ADR) and an investigation into the matter is underway. Police said no foul play was involved in the incident. Preliminary investigation showed that the foreigner died of ‘natural causes’.

Sahar police filed an accidental death report and shifted the body to Cooper Hospital, Vile Parle West.

The police received the information on Tuesday around 10 a.m. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it to the nearby government hospital for post-mortem examination.
