The pop singer dubbed the ‘Japanese Madonna’ has left fans upset and panicking after all traces of her disappeared offline.

Namie Amuro, 46, is a huge star in Japan with a career spanning more than 30 years, with 12 albums, 40 million record sales and 10 number one singles.

She announced her retirement in 2017 after wrapping up her final tour the following year.

But in recent months, not only has Namie disappeared from the public eye, but so has all her work.

Fans have noticed that the singer’s social media has all been deleted, including her Facebook page and fan page.

Her official website and online store are also no longer active, and now her music is disappearing offline as well.

Dozens of admirers posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, revealing they had lost access to her songs on Spotify or Apple Music.

Likewise, her YourTube channel has been completely removed from the popular star’s music videos.

“THEY REMOVED NAMIE AMURO’S MUSIC FROM SPOTIFY,” one upset fan posted.

Another wrote: ‘Not Namie Amuro’s entire discography leaving Spotify’ and another said: ‘Two hours ago I was able to listen to Namie on Apple Music.’

“We live in a world where to listen to Namie Amuro you need Telegram,” someone else said.

“WTF NAMIE AMURO IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN SPOTIFY WTF NOOOOOOOO,” someone else wrote.

Namie released a statement on her 40th birthday informing fans of her intention to retire.

“I would like to write about something that has been on my mind and that I decided on the 25th anniversary of my debut,” the statement read.

“I, Namie Amuro, would like to take this opportunity to inform all my fans of my decision to retire as of September 16, 2018.

“I plan to make the last year of my music career meaningful by focusing my full attention on making a final album and performing in concerts.

“Then I will welcome the date of September 16, 2018 in the best possible way.”
