Look who’s lifting? Personal trainer about to give birth reveals how she continued to lift weights throughout her pregnancy

A personal trainer has stunned her followers after revealing that she continued to lift weights throughout her pregnancy.

London’s Meggan Grubb is currently 39 weeks pregnant, but that fact hasn’t stopped her from keeping up with her fitness regimen.

On an impressive TikTok video, the fitness guru revealed that she has been lifting weights during her pregnancy after promising herself that she would try to stay active.

Meggan filmed herself every week from her pregnancy to the 38th exercising and lifting heavy weights to show that she had kept her promise.

Fans of the mom-to-be and midwives applauded her, while some admitted that their pregnancy had taken too much of their energy to work out.

Meggan shared the post, urging other mothers-to-be to consider exercising.

‘I’ve never been so thankful for my body. Working out makes me feel strong, powerful and like myself, so I’ve been so lucky to have been able to continue my pregnancy,” Meggan wrote in a post accompanying the video.

“If you can and want to, keep moving mamas. You feel happier, healthier, lighter and help with those aches and pains. Even if it doesn’t look like it, it could,” she added.

In a caption shared with the video, Meggan wrote, “You promised yourself you would try to stay active during pregnancy.”

The clip begins with Meggan showing off her flat stomach in a gray pair of underwear in the early days of pregnancy.

The mom-to-be then went on to record her workout sessions, with weights, from four weeks post-pregnancy to 39 weeks.

As her baby bump grows, Meggan doesn’t take it easy and continues to lift various weights while squatting.

After sharing the clip, which has been viewed 5.9 million times on the social media platform, the fitness influencer was inundated with positive comments from other moms and midwives applauding her regimen.

‘As a midwife I like to see this! Keep exercising during your pregnancy – the physical and mental benefits, not to mention childbirth, are amazing,” said one midwife.

One parent said she was too anxious to exercise during her pregnancy, writing, “I quit the gym when I found out, I was too scared to exercise when I was pregnant.”

However, some parents noted that their pregnancy had gone away and then too tired to exercise.

‘Howwww. I’ve been so tired my entire pregnancy,” one mom asked.

“I said this too, but was in bed at 5 p.m. every night just because I was tired at work. Lord, you are a champion,’ said one.

‘You are inspiring! I’m 36 weeks and I’m out of breath walking 10 steps,” someone said.
