And shoppers have had one in particular in mind in recent days: After Eight mini eggs.

The sharing bag, based on the iconic mint chocolate, weighs 81 grams and contains around 356 calories and is also reportedly available to purchase from B&M.

We've also seen them on the Tesco website, for £1.50 or £1.35 if you have a Clubcard.

And Asda, Ocado, Morrisons and Iceland all have the bag for £1.25.

We asked Poundland how much the bag costs and how many stores it is available in. We will update this story once we hear back.

However, the sharing bag is already gaining popularity online, after a customer posted the find in store Food Finds UK Facebook page.

Hundreds have liked and commented on the post, with many good reviews for the sweet snack and others keen to purchase them.

One said: “These are delicious,” while a second added: “They look luscious.”

A third, tagging a friend, said: “We have to find them,” and a fourth continued: “We have to try these!”

Of course, when buying something like this, keep in mind that you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

You can use tools like Trolley.co.uk or the Google Shopping tab that allow you to compare prices between sellers.

It's not the first time in recent weeks that shoppers have been left in shock after spotting tasty Easter eggs on the shelves.

A number of retailers have started stocking up on the sweet treats months in advance.

Last month, Asda shoppers rushed to buy a Tony's Chocolonely salted caramel flavored egg.

Meanwhile, Tesco shoppers were left “obsessed” after spotting a Skittles Easter egg box.

It came after Quality Street fans shouted: “I'm so ready” after spotting one of the Easter eggs on B&M's shelves.

Meanwhile, the KitKat Incredible Caramel Cookie Collision Easter Egg is back on retailer shelves, much to the delight of fans.

In other news, Poundland is making a major change across its more than 850 stores and online to boost shoppers.

The retailer is introducing thousands of additional products across all branches, with prices starting from just 50 cents.
