My quick, easy and cheap washer cleaning trick eliminates odors
A cleaning expert has revealed her hack to keep her washing machines smelling fresh.
Best of all, it only required two simple ingredients that most people had at home.

She (@renovatie_44) shared the cleaning hack in a TikTok video.
“Does your washing machine stink?” she asked.
“Listen, for quick and easy washing machine cleaning, just cut a lemon in half, add toothpaste and throw it in your washing machine.”
She took two halved lemons, added dollops of toothpaste and simply threw them in for a full cycle.
For proper cleaning, she made sure to set the washing machine to fast wash with very hot water.
She explained that the technique “removes odors and leaves your washing machine absolutely sparkling.”
“After the cycle is over, you'll have a fresh-smelling washing machine for little money,” she added.
People thanked her for the quick and easy trick, which required no additional shopping.
