Radio star Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli has announced his shocking career move: author of an erotic fiction novel for adults.
The Nova 9.6.9 breakfast host recently finished writing “The Far Too Personal Trainer,” which he started 10 years ago.
‘I understand. It’s weird. It was a combination of things that happened at the time. There were a lot of people in the media and celebrities putting out children’s books,” he said news.com.
‘I thought no one does it for the adults. What about the adults who are looking for a little adventure, some spice and escapism?’
Wippa said he got the idea for the novel a decade ago when he saw his wife Lisa reading the provocative book 50 Shades of Gray and realized there weren’t many erotic stories from a male perspective.

‘I read about the success of 50 Shades and thought, “How hard can it be?” Why are there no erotic novels written by young Australian men?’ he said.
“Readers will be surprised by the graphic content, but I think they will also enjoy this man’s crazy stories.”
He then joked that if the story were to be turned into a movie, he knew exactly who should play the lead roles.

‘Main character Ben Holder is young and fit, I could play that role. All the girls in it would be played by [Nova co-host] Kate Ritchie,” he said.

According to the website, the novel ‘Fifty Shades of Gray feels like a self-help guide on how to fall asleep.’
The radio presenter has been married to the love of his life Lisa for ten years.
Together they share three children, sons Theodore, nine, and Jack, seven, and daughter Francesca, four.
