‘Excited’! Ryan Lochte and wife Kayla Rae Reid welcome baby No. 3

A new addition to the swimming team of the Lochte family! Olympic Ryan Lochte and his wife, Kayla Rae Reidwelcomed their third child, a baby girl, on Wednesday, June 21.

“[We’re] enthusiastic. We are so excited,” the model, 31, shared exclusively Us weekly before giving birth. “Ryan is such a great dad; Can’t wait to see him as a dad of 3. He’s so great with kids in general, they always gravitate towards him.

She added: “I’m excited too, [but] I’m more of a worrier, the strict, the not-so-nice parent, let’s just say. That creates a good balance.”

Reid and Lochte, 38, chose to name their little one Georgia June Lochte, which they “easy” agreed on.

“Her middle name has a play on the timing of her birth and a relative,” the proud mom shared Us, before teasing baby room design. “[It’s] shades of pink and green with a southern eclectic feel, [that] is what I went for.”

The gold medalist and Reid – who are also parents to son Caiden, 5, and daughter Liv, 3 – first met and started dating in 2016.

“We ran into each other physically. We held hands and looked into each other’s eyes. We clicked,” Reid said before New York Post that August.

The couple tied the knot twice — first in a Florida courthouse in August 2018, then in a Palm Springs ceremony with family and friends in September of the same year. Caiden, then 2, served as his parents’ ring bearer.

Lochte previously gushed exclusively to his son’s birth in 2017 Us. “As soon as I saw the head pop out, I immediately cried my eyes out,” the swimmer looked back in June 2017. “We are over the moon. It’s a dream come true. I’m still in shock. I can’t believe that we made a baby!”

In June 2019, the couple welcomed their second baby, daughter Liv.

“Children changed everything,” the Florida resident said Us that October about life as a father of two. “It’s not just me and [Kayla] not anymore. We always have to wake up and take care of our little ones. One was hard, two is really hard, but it’s so nice to know that every time we see our kids, we made this. … It’s pretty awesome to see them grow into people they will become.

A year later, the athlete teased exclusively Us that he and Reid were thinking about adding a third child to the mix. “It’s not really up to me [if and when we have more kids]. It’s up to the mistress,’ Lochte joked. “And if she wants more, we get more.”

The parents announced in December 2022 that they would soon welcome their third little one.

“Ryan is such a great, hands-on dad, but you can’t be as hands-on as you’d like.” [when] you train so hard and it’s such a demanding schedule that you physically can’t do both,” Reid told in an interview with Good morning America at the time. “This restart, it was very nice to just have him present. “It’s been kind of a wave of relaxation, ‘Oh my God, we can really enjoy this pregnancy together, we can really enjoy this newborn phase together.'”

As the married couple watches in baby bliss as their newborn bond with her big siblings, they don’t rule out another child.

‘We’re not sure. [It] depends,” Reid confessed Us before her due date. “I believe we’ll have our hands full with three, but never say never!”
