The bargain hunter, who hails from Manchester, regularly shares her top tips and tricks on 'how to shop smarter and save money' on social media, but she has left many divided by some of her recent comments.

She said: “Pre-cut fruit. Now that I've talked about this before, you don't have to buy this fruit cut for you and put into plastic containers.
“It's so much better value and so much cheaper to just buy your own fruit and cut it yourself.”
make it yourself
Likewise, if you're craving a smoothie, Kat says it's much more cost-effective to buy fruit separately and make it yourself.
She added: “Pre-made smoothies, this is literally the same premise now.
“You can make your own smoothies, the ingredients are literally on the bottle.
“You can make the exact same smoothie at home for so much cheaper.”
Get rid of it
Calling all baked potato lovers – according to Kat, if you buy frozen Spuds, you clearly have 'money to burn'.
The money-saving whiz claimed: “If you're one of those people who buy frozen baked potatoes, I'm assuming you have money to burn.
“These are so expensive. If I were on a budget, I would just buy a single potato and make it myself.
“If you look at the ingredients on the box, it literally just says potato and oil. You can do it yourself for a fraction of the price.”
Completely mad
Finally, if you'd have trouble parting with your beloved Yorkshire Tea, prepare for an attack.
The smart saver concluded: “The next one firstly, people will disagree: these are name brand tea bags.
'You don't need Yorkshire tea, PG Tips. If you're shopping on a budget, you can simply buy the supermarket's own brand tea.
“It's just tea leaves, it's all pretty much the same.
“If I had a limited budget, I would always buy the own brand.”
I'm frugal as anything, but the one thing I refuse to give up is my Yorkshire tea
TikTok users
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @katsaveshas clearly left many with their mouths open as it quickly racked up 17,800 views.
But social media users were left divided by the clip – while some were grateful for the advice, others were happy to disagree.
One person said: “Good video and super helpful.”
Another said: “So helpful, thank you.”
However, at the same time, another user wrote: “Unfortunately for people with disabilities, pre-cut/mixed fruit is the only option. The same goes for prepared vegetables, minced meat, etc.”
In response, Kat explained, “Yeah, totally honest, then this video just isn't for those people.”
While someone else added: “That's fine if you don't have a disability and are perfectly mentally health always. A budget should not only consist of lower figures, it must also suit the person.”
To this, Kat responded, “Yes, fair point, I think this is common.”
Not only this, but many tea lovers admitted that they could never give up Yorkshire tea.
One tea lover explained: 'I'm as frugal as anything, but the one thing I refuse to give up is my Yorkshire tea. I wish it didn't have such a strong influence on me.”
A second chimed in: “Budget or not, I always buy Yorkshire tea bags.”
While a third said: “You had me to the point where you targeted Yorkshire Tea. I would rather sell a kidney than give up my Yorkshire tea.
