Sam Mac has announced that he is expecting his second child with his fiancée Rebecca James.

The Sunrise weatherman confirmed the jovial news on Instagram on Saturday with an adorable family photo.

In a stunning snap, he held up their ultrasound scan as stylist Rebecca, 35, showed off her blossoming baby bump as she lifted her top.

The overjoyed couple were also joined by their daughter Margot, 16 months, who grinned sweetly as she placed her hand on her mother’s stomach.

Their jovial news comes just weeks after the couple confirmed they were engaged in December.

To give insight into the proposal, the presenter wrote in the caption: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, my fiancée! She said yes.

‘My secret New Year’s resolution for 2023 was to propose to my sweet Rebecca sometime this year. So I guess this is what you would call a buzzer beater.

In a recent interview with New Idea magazine, Sam praised Sunrise for his support and said he was “so grateful” for the opportunity to take time off for his family.

“I worry that I’m one of those parents who is too busy with work to fully experience all the milestones with my child.”

‘I love my job very much, but I am often away from home. I already notice what I’m missing in Margot’s development,’ Sam admitted.
