Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by the brother of a leader of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in Bodhan Mandal town of Nizamabad district of Hyderabad. According to a recent report, on Monday, June 19, the girl was on her way to a friend’s house for lunch when she was intercepted by Ravinder. The suspect is said to have kidnapped the underage girl and locked it with chains in a goat shed near his house.
‘Raped – gagged, hands, feet bound with chains’
An official gave details and said that Ravinder chained her hands and feet, gagged her with a cloth and raped her. Ravinder threatened to kill her if she told anyone other than the minor about the incident on Wednesday. She complained of acute abdominal pain and eventually confided in her mother when she pressed her for details about her illness.
The victim’s mother accompanied others from her community and then arrived at BRS Bodhan Municipal Floor Leader, K Radhakrishna’s home and demanded justice but was reportedly threatened by the local leader and his brother and warned not to report the matter to anyone, especially not to the police.
The aggrieved mother and other local residents then staged a protest outside Bodh Mandal police station, after which a case was registered against K Ravinder under the POCSO Act on the basis of the family’s complaint.
