Oscars parties 2024: VIP guide to Madonna, Beyonce, more celebrities
There’s no party like an Oscars party – take that Madonna And Beyoncewho have become two of the biggest names to host an annual awards ceremony.
Ahead of the 2024 Academy Awards, which take place on Sunday, March 10, Us weekly “VIP Scene” takes you to the biggest Hollywood parties planned for the event.
The festivities start with the “pre-Oscars luxury lounge” of GBK Brand Bar on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 March. The exclusive two-day celebration offers guests high-end gifts while enjoying the atmosphere at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
In recent years, swag bags have included Balenciaga backpacks, Bottega Veneta handbags and Tag Heuer timepieces. Presenters will reportedly receive more than $85,000 in goodies, while other guests will receive nearly $45,000 in gifts.
For those not on the guest list for the actual Oscars, which take place at the Dolby Theater, there are plenty of lavish viewing parties to attend. The largest two are the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which is celebrating its 30th year.

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party doubles as an afterparty, where some of Hollywood’s biggest names are known to attend. While fans can’t get an invite to the party, they can watch the red carpet livestream hosted by Brown France And Michelle Buteau on Vanityfair.com and the magazine’s YouTube channel.
