A WOMAN has revealed she swears by her four-ingredient DIY mask for dry hair.
So if your locks are damaged but you're on a budget and can't spend the money on expensive hair care products, don't worry: you're in luck.
Beauty fanatic Audrey Dunn took to social media to share her hair secret — and luckily for you, you probably already have the ingredients in your closet.
Audrey, who focuses on “holistic health made simple,” shared her inexpensive hair mask, which will cost you just 64 cents, as she said: “DIY hair mask to restore dry, damaged hair to soft and shiny.”
Audrey then demonstrated how to make the mixture, putting her ingredients in a bowl.
For this solution you will need one egg and two spoons of coconut oilthree tablespoons of olive oil and a dash of honey.
She then advised: “Mix it very well.”
Once mixed, Audrey applied the hair mask to her locks, adding: “Apply to dry hair from roots to ends.
“Put it on and let it sit as long as you want.”
When Audrey was ready to wash her hair, she explained, “Two shampoos, once conditioner.”
To keep your hair looking its best, Audrey recommended: “Air dry or straighten.”
Showing off her revamped locks, she claimed: “MUCH better.”
Audrey later explained that olive oil contains fatty acids that provide deep moisture, prevent split ends and stimulate growth.
Not only this, but she also claimed that coconut oil provides extra hydration, while the honey contains a protein that promotes hair growth and heals hair breakage.
Delighted with her cheesy hair mask, Audrey beamed: “It's so good.”
If you want to try this at home, you can make it for just 64 cents per mask.
At Tesco you can buy six eggs for £1.30, which works out to 21p per egg.
You'll also need coconut oil, which you can pick up from Asda for £2. For this recipe you only need two spoons, which will cost you 25 cents.
Additionally, this recipe requires three spoons of olive oil, which, if you buy them for £2 from Sainsbury's, will cost you just 18p per mask.
Finally, to get your hair super shiny and soft, this recipe calls for a drizzle of honey, which, if you buy it for 75p from Morrisons, will cost you less than 1p per portion.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @naturalblondi_has clearly impressed many as it has quickly amassed a whopping 166,700 views.
Social media users were baffled by the hair mask and were eager to try it, which many expressed in response to the comments.
One person said: “I'm going to try it now.”
Another said: “Trying today.”
A third commented: “Woah.”
Meanwhile, a beauty fan asked: “How long should the mask be on the hair?”
To this, Audrey claimed: “I'd say at least 30 minutes! But I'll keep mine for a while.”
At the same time, someone else asked, “Do you do it every day?”
Audrey then confirmed: “I don't! More of a need.”
While another user wondered: “Does it leave a smell in your hair?”
In response, the beauty fan claimed: “No, not at all, since you wash your hair afterwards!”
