The actor won the hearts of the nation when his debut show aired in August 1989, as he became the cheeky bad boy that everyone loved.

Mark-Paul has now ditched his gold-dyed locks, which were inspired by Vanilla Ice’s icy ends, and has embraced his naturally thick dark brown hair.

NBC’s Saved By The Bell became a fan favorite when it first aired in the US in 1989.

After airing every Saturday morning, the sitcom quickly became a flagship for the channel and had several spin-off shows throughout the 1990s.

The show proved to be his biggest success, as he continues to pursue a budding acting career after recently starring in Found, Will Trent and Missing While Indoctrinated.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon in 2015, Mark shocked TV buffs after admitting his hair wasn’t naturally blonde.

‘People think, ‘Oh, that’s your natural hair color,’ but it wasn’t. That was Clairol’s color,” Paul said, as Jimmy held up a photo of the actor with bleached locks.

“That’s not natural guys, you can see the brown going through,” he added.

Mark also revealed that after each season, the crew was sure they would be canceled and that’s why they said goodbye in a healthy way every year.

He said, ‘You know, our show, every year we thought we were going to get canceled.

‘Every season of Saved By The Bell was ‘cancelled’. At the end of the season we all left and said goodbye to each other.

‘And that’s why my haircut was so radically different every season! Because I was just going to school, and I had the Vanilla Ice thing, because Vanilla Ice was big in 1990, so I had the shaved sides and like the big bouffant.”
