Festival season might seem like a long way away, but it’s never too early to start planning for 2024 and copping those tickets while you still can.
And whether you’re a pop fan, techno lover, metalhead or an indie kid at heart, these are the key music festival dates to get in your diary.
Over the years, the UK has amassed a wide range of festivals up and down the country to suit every festival goers need.
From big hitters Glastonbury and Wireless to Scotland’s TRNSMT festival, there’s plenty of talented artists to see live this summer.

Glastonbury
Where: Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, South West England
When: 26 to 30 June
Headliners: No artists have been publicly confirmed yet
Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay are the first rumoured headliners that are expecting to step on stage next year. After months of discussion, the three iconic singers are reportedly set to appear on the Pyramid Stage, though the official line-up hasn’t yet been revealed.

Creamfields
Where: Daresbury, Cheshire
When: 22- 25 August
Headliners: Michael Bibi
The huge dance music festival Creamfields will not be returning to Essex next year as organisers will be merging their two events into one for the north of England.
The festival is yet to announce the full line-up, but previous years have saw Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia and Tiesto take to the stage.

Reading and Leeds
Where: Richfield Avenue, Reading and at Bramham Park in Leeds
When: 22 to 25 August
Headliners: Lana Del Rey, Liam Gallagher, Blink-182, Raye, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Gerry Cinnamon, 21 Savage and Fred Again…
This marks its 68th year of showstopping music and fans are advised to buy tickets now before they sell out. Those attending the twin festivals can also expect performances from The Prodigy, Sonny Fodera, Skrillex, Jorja Smith and The Wombats.

Camp Bestival Dorset
Where: Lulworth Castle, Dorset
When: July 25 to 28
The UK’s original and most successful family festival, combining action-packed festival adventures with a fantastic family camping holiday – the ultimate family festival experience this summer – created by families, for families.
Headliners are Pete Tong Ibiza Classics, Jules Buckley & The Essential Orchestra, Paloma Faith and McFly.
Other acts include James Arthur, Orbital, Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters frontman), The Darkness, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Gok Wan, David Rodigan, Craig Charles, The Amy Winehouse Band, Coach Party and The K’s.

Parklife
Where: Manchester’s Heaton Park
When: 8 to 9 June
Headliners: Doja Cat Disclosure and J Hus
Alongside the headliners, Becky Hill, Peggy Gou, Camelphat, Rudimental and the Sugababes will also perform over the weekend. Ticket prices have been cut to make the festival more accessible to people. This is great news for concert-goers.

BST Hyde Park
Where: Hyde Park, London
When: 5, 6, 7, 13 and 14 July
Headliners: Robbie Williams, Andrea Bocelli, Shania Twain, Kylie and Stray Kids
British Summer Time Hyde Park is a series of concerts held once a year in London’s Hyde Park. Kylie is returning to perform at the summer event for the first time in nine years. Last year saw the likes of Pink, Guns N’ Roses, Bruce Springsteen, and Billy Joel headline BST.

Wireless Festival
Where: Finsbury Park, London
When: 12 to 14 July 2024
Headliners: Nicki Minaj , 21 Savage, Doja Cat and J Hus
Elsewhere, Future, Ice Spice , Asake, Rema, Gunna, Sean Paul have been confirmed for what is set to be a mind-blowing weekend. Around 50,000 rap, R&B and hip-hop fans head to the festival each year.

Gunnersbury Park
Where: Gunnersbury Park, West London
When: 9, 10, 11, 17 and 18 August
Headliners: Peggy Gou, FISHER, Tom Grennan, Korn and PJ Harvey
Gunnersbury Park has become established as one of London’s favourite outdoor venues and will play host to a series of concerts offering a vibrant mix of music genres in August 2024.
Peggy Gou – who has been nominated by BRIT awards for International Song of the Year – is one of a number of musicians set to play in the park, to a crowd bigger than The O2, this summer. Last year, Gunnersbury Park welcomed the likes of Boygenius, JOJI, Kygo and Limp Bizkit.

We Are FSTVL
Where: Central Park Dagenham, London
When: 25 to 27 May
Headliners: Chase & Status and Eric Prydz
We Are FSTVL is one of London’s biggest raves. Those attending this year can also expect performances from Patrick Topping, Green Velvet, The Martinez Brothers, Wilkinson and Hedex.

Camp Bestival Shropshire
Where: Weston Park, Shropshire
When: 15/16/17/18 August 2024
A sister event to Camp Bestival Dorset that takes all the unique and essential elements of Camp Bestival to the heart of England – created by families, for families.
Headliners: Faithless, Paloma Faith & Rick Astley
Other Acts include McFly, Orbital, Jake Shears, The Darkness, Level 42, Gok Wan, Hak Baker, Say She She, The K’s, Craig Charles, Sara Cox and The Beatles Dub Club.

Isle of Wight Festival
Where: Isle of Wight in Newport
When: 20 to 23 June
Headliners: Green Day, The Prodigy and Pet Shop Boys
Jessie J, The Pretenders and Natalie Imbruglia have also been added to the lineup for Barclaycard presents The Isle of Wight Festival, which has been running since 1968. Last year saw headliners Robbie Williams, Pulp and George Ezra grace Seaclose Park.

TRNSMT
Where: Glasgow Green, Scotland
When: 12 to 14 July
Headliners: Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon and Calvin Harris
Alongside the talented headliners, Rick Astley, the Courteeners, Chase & Status, Natasha Bedingfield and Tom Grennan will perform.

Forbidden Forest

When: 30 May to 3 June
