A self-confessed treasure hunter has revealed the stash of expensive items he found in an abandoned suitcase.

Darick shared his designer collection via a video on his TikTok channel @abandonedexplosquad.

The TikToker often uses the channel to share abandoned “treasures” he has found.

His videos are very popular among social media users and he has amassed 230,000 followers on the video sharing platform.

Darick explained that he had bought the abandoned suitcase at an airport for around £80.

Every year, thousands of pieces of luggage are left behind at the airport and never claimed.

These pieces of luggage are then sold at auctions, where buyers can gamble on whether they think there is anything useful inside.

Darick explained that he chose the suitcase from the video because it looked “expensive”.

He said his goal is to monetize the contents of the suitcase or return it to its rightful owner.

Darick opened the suitcase and began searching through the contents.

At first he just pulled out a few different items like a chapstick and a pen, but then he struck gold.

“No way, that's a Gucci watch,” he said, “I have no idea if this is real or not, but if it is that would be great and definitely pay for the case.

Gucci watches cost between £500 and £1000.

The next one The only thing Darick took out of the case was an iPad, which is worth between £100 and £300.

He then sourced a range of clothes from upscale clothing store Ann Taylor, which are worth between £50 and £100 each.

When Darick reached the end of the suitcase, he hit the jackpot, with a Louis Vuitton wallet (worth around £300) and a Prada bag (worth around £1,000).

“What the heck, this is crazy as hell,” he exclaimed.

Darick's video has probably left many with their mouths open, as the video has been viewed no less than 454,000 times.

TikTok users rushed to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on Darick's catch.

One user said: “The fact that people's lost luggage is being sold…makes me wonder if the luggage isn't lost on purpose.”

Another user added: “I once found a stall full of unclaimed luggage at a flea market.”
