‘Drunk, verbally abusive’ American Airlines passenger is filmed hurling abuse at her fellow travelers – before throwing up on the bags of the woman behind her – as airline staff are criticized for refusing to clean up the mess

A woman has opened up about her escape from hell where she says she saw an ‘intoxicated’ passenger verbally abuse her fellow travelers before throwing up on two of her bags.

Nicole Schreib was getting ready to travel from New York to Miami on an American Airlines flight when she says she saw two very drunk women in the airport bathroom.

“Two of them were walking arm in arm, stumbled drunkenly, and ran into me in the bathroom,” she said Business insider.

“It was just crazy because it was 6:30 in the morning.

“You don’t expect that at that moment.”

As she boarded the plane with her fiancé, she realized that one of the women was actually sitting in front of her on her flight and causing a scene.

‘[The woman was] She slurs her words and can barely speak,” Nicole said.

“This woman should not be on this plane. To be honest, I was worried.”

Midway through the flight, one of the women began vomiting, some of it ending up on two of Nicole’s bags, which were stored under the seat in front of her.

“I couldn’t believe the amount,” admitted Nicole, who works as a lawyer, according to her social media profile.

The disgruntled passenger said she did not take photos of the vomit and was told by a flight attendant that they could not clean it up because it is a bodily fluid.

After landing, she contacted American Airlines in the hope that the company would compensate her for the inconvenience – and throw up – adding that the flight crew was aware that she was drunk when she boarded the flight.

According to Business Insider, the airline sent Nicole an email saying they could not take responsibility for the other passenger.

“I’m sorry to hear that your property was damaged by another passenger,” the email read.

It continued: “While I can certainly understand your frustration with the situation, unintentional things can and do happen in public spaces. While it is unfortunate that you are involved in this situation, we cannot take responsibility for the actions of another individual.”

After raising the issue further, Nicole said she was offered $50 in compensation, which wasn’t good enough.

“It’s not about the money,” she argued. “It was about taking a little bit of responsibility and actually apologizing for what happened.”

A spokesperson for American Airlines told DailyMail.com: ‘We strive to provide a positive travel experience for all our customers, and a member of our team has contacted us for more information.’

The lawyer got to work social media to share what had happened – along with a short clip of the abusive woman lying in her chair with her feet against the wall – and try to get answers.

“American Airlines allowed this drunk, verbally abusive woman on my flight despite removing one of her friends,” Nicole wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Here she calls the two men in her aisle ‘pu**ies’ before vomiting on the floor and my bags – $50 credit is all they offered in compensation,” she raged.

In a follow-up post, Nicole responded to a response from American Airlines, suggesting she request a review of the email they sent her.

“I did that and spoke to someone and was then offered the ridiculous amount of $50 in compensation for the horrific flight that involved wiping that woman’s vomit off my personal belongings,” she wrote in a scathing response.

“She was visually intoxicated and verbally obnoxious and abusive well before takeoff.”

Nicole said she wasn’t sure if she would book another American Airlines flight and fly with a “waterproof bag” from now on.
