All My Children star Alec Musser died Friday at the age of 50 by suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The former fitness model, who was also known for his guest role on Desperate Housewives, was found dead by his fiancée Paige Press of an apparent gunshot wound to the chest at his home in Del Mar, California, on Saturday, January 13.

Musser was found in his bathroom after the press last saw him alive on Friday, Jan. 12, according to a news release from the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office issued Tuesday.

The press called it the “worst day of my life” when confirming the actor's death.

The married couple got engaged last year and Press posted a series of throwback photos to her Instagram Story in tribute to the late actor.

“RIP to the love of my life,” she wrote on Instagram about a “2023 vision board” on which she posted photos of him and engagement photos. “I will never stop loving you.”

With a photo of them together on the red carpet, she wrote: 'Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy.'

“You were the best fiancée I could have [sic] anything I ever asked for,” she posted alongside a photo of him surprising her with matching Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs. “I don't even think I can drive my g-wagen anymore.”

Messer's uncle also confirmed the tragic news TMZ but also did not reveal his cause of death.

Musser previously played the role of Del Henry in the long-running television series All My Children.

In July 2005, he landed the role after winning the second season of the SOAPnet original series I Wanna Be a Soap Star.

He appeared for a total of 43 episodes until he left the drama series in 2007.

He also appeared in Grown Ups, Desperate Housewives, Road to the Altar and Rita Rocks.

The New York native was an avid athlete even as a child and was also a fitness model.

After graduating from the University of San Diego, he began working with the professional ski patrol at Mammouth Mountain.

There he was scouted by an agent for his first modeling job at Abercrombie and Fitch.

His many other modeling credits include GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Speedo and Target.

After landing national commercials, he auditioned for I Wanna Be a Soap Star.

In recent years, he has been away from Hollywood but has maintained a presence on social media as he often posts about his active lifestyle and fitness journey.

His last Instagram post was of him participating in one of his favorite outdoor activities and surfing four days ago.

In the comments section, many of his fans left touching tributes to commemorate his memory and express their condolences to his loved ones.

Adam Sandler, who worked with Musser on Grown Ups, shared a heartbreaking tribute to his former co-star.

“I loved this man,” he wrote in a caption next to a photo of Musser in their 2010 comedy-drama. “I can't believe he's gone.”

The 57-year-old actor continued: “Such a great, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A real sweetheart of a person.'

Following her first tribute, Messer's fiancé Paige Press also shared a photo of them enjoying a night out together from the beginning of their relationship.

“We look like babies here,” she captioned the throwback photo. “This was six years ago.”
