RHOC alum Alexis Bellino fires back at Vicki Gunvalson — who said her new romance with Shannon Beador’s ex John Janssen is “brutal” — while speculating outrage is a cash grab

Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino fired back at Vicki Gunvalson after rejecting her new romance with John Janssen, the ex of Vicki’s close friend Shannon Beador.

Earlier this week Vicki said Celebrity that she’s “disgusted” with Alexis and even speculates that she’s just using the relationship to get back on the Bravo show.

“For me to see Alexis – someone I actually had some respect for – go so low as to date Shannon’s ex? It is dirty. It’s low and it’s not a girly girl,” Vicki told the outlet.

After catching wind of the article, Alexis expressed her disappointment before suggesting that Vicki’s public outcry might simply have been a cash grab.

“Very disappointing to see this from someone I considered a friend,” Alexis began.

“I know at Coto Insurance it can’t be that bad that you’re resorting to a quick buck from a clickbait article that throws me in the trash.”

She insisted that Vicki’s view of the relationship is not the correct one.

“Sad that you seem to forget that there are two sides to every story, and unfortunately 100% of your assumptions are completely incorrect @vickigunvalson,” she concluded, adding, “Happy Holidays!”

Vicki wasn’t too happy with Alexis’ response, so she took to X/Twitter to defend Coto Insurance – the company she founded in 1991 that made her a multi-millionaire.

“Coto Insurance – which has been in business for 34 years – is thriving ❤️,” she wrote. “My feelings about a certain situation involving someone I think is shady have NOTHING to do with that”

Concluding her tweet, Vicki accused Alexis of relying on men instead of making her own fortune.

In her explosive Celebuzz interview, Vicki said Alexis is “not a girly girl” and vowed to “support” her good friend Shannon no matter what.

Shannon and John were together for three years before their surprising split in January.

And Vicki revealed there is still ‘pain’ despite breaking up being ‘the right thing’ to do.

She turned her attention back to Alexis and John as she accused them of being “fame hungry” and speculated about the possible motives behind their relationship.

“It also smells like desperation to return to the show because she’s probably hoping this will stir things up and secure her spot,” Vicki wondered.

Alexis famously starred in seasons five through eight of Real Housewives Of Orange County, which is currently in its 17th season on Bravo.

She continued, “It begs the question of why John would want to date another housewife. Is he also hungry for fame and wants to stay on TV? We all know the answer!’

“Anyway, it’s really hard to see the public photos all over the internet,” she told us. ‘If he has even an ounce of class, he should date her quietly and stop all public humiliation.

“I am happy to stand by Shannon’s side to defend her and support her in any way I can.”

Vicki finds Alexis’ actions ‘absolutely disgusting’ and she condemned the reality TV star for hurting Shannon.

You know how much this would hurt her and you did it anyway. Whatever happened to being religious and righteous? None of this speaks to that,” she said.

“To say I’m disappointed in both is an understatement.”

News that Shannon’s ex John had moved on with Alexis was revealed earlier this week.

Shannon admitted how “hurt” she was when Janssen dated Bellino while attending the season 2 premiere of Jeff Lewis’ Hollywood Houselift on Wednesday.

“I’m not going to lie, I’m hurt. I’ve been hurt a lot these past few weeks,” Beador began.

She added that she was hurt, “because, No. 1, John said he didn’t want to be in the public eye, and he’s put himself more in the public eye at this point.” So I’m quite confused about that.’

The new relationship is also pretty bizarre, considering Alexis’ ex-husband Jim Bellino previously sued Beador for defamation in 2018, long after Alexis left RHOC.

“John is well aware of a lawsuit that I was involved in along with Jim Bellino, and Alexis was involved in that lawsuit,” Shannon clarified.

‘I was devastated financially and emotionally for years. And I won. But it has devastated me financially. And I’m a single mother. John is aware of that,” Beador said.

Beador joined RHOC in season 9, just after Bellino left the show in season 8, adding that she doesn’t know why John would date another RHOC member.

‘I don’t know how to process it. How many Orange County Housewives have there been? Is that your dating pool?’ she asked.

Beador also cleared up rumors that she had a verbal altercation with Bellino just one night before her DUI arrest in September.

‘I do not know her. She said that on my unfortunate night I was across the bar yelling obscenities at her, which I did not do, and I have witnesses to prove that,” Beador said.

She added, “If you’re going to say things about me, let’s talk about the truth.”

When asked where she stood with John, she said: ‘I haven’t spoken to him in a while. It’s been two months.’

Reports that Janssen and Bellino were dating surfaced on Tuesday, although there are sources who claim that it is not that serious yet.

“Things are still very new and they aren’t using terms like boyfriend and girlfriend at this point,” the source said.

“They enjoy the company and happiness they bring to each other’s lives,” the source added.
