As someone with fine, flat hair, I’m constantly on the lookout for products that will boost volume and give me the full locks of my dreams. Every time I go to the salon I show my hairdresser a picture of Amal Clooney for inspiration. The British-Lebanese lawyer (and wife of George Clooney) has some of the most luscious locks around, and I’ve been trying to recreate her thick, glossy look for years to no avail.

“I always use [this] thickening lotion in wet hair before I start blow-drying because it creates extra body and makes the styling last longer,” Giannetos explained to Fashion. The drugstore favorite boosts body and fullness with cotton flower extract while improving softness and shine.
Even if it is a lotion, the spray format makes it easy to spread through your hair. To use, simply spray onto damp hair from the middle of the hair shaft to the ends. (You can also apply some at the root for extra volume, but do this sparingly, as too much can eventually weigh hair down. One to two spritzes should be enough.) From there, you can blow-dry or air out your hair. dry.
Together with Giannetos, Amazon shoppers swear by this affordable thickening lotion, with results said to surpass more expensive options. “I feel like I’ve tried every product on the market to add volume to my hair. No matter what I use, I always use this again,’ wrote one reviewer. “I need about 10 sprays, but luckily it’s affordable so that’s not a problem.
