Fox has launched a reboot of the highly popular series after the network struck a deal with Freemantle on Monday.
The series originally starred Hasselhoff, now 71, from 1989 to 1999, before being recast as Baywatch Hawaii from 1999 to 2001.
He also starred in the spin-off series Baywatch Nights, which aired from 1995 to 1997.
56-year-old actress Anderson – who shared love advice last week – led the red swimsuit brigade that included actresses like Yasmine Bleeth, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul, Parker Stevenson, Erika Eleniak and several others.

The original series was a worldwide phenomenon, as it aired in over 145 countries at one point, which is more than any other TV show.
According to Variety, the PR team for the series even created a statistic calling it the “No. 1 series in the world’, which was even printed as fact in numerous publications.
