Gary King of Below Deck Sailing Yacht wants to stay on TV after scandal

Gary King do not rule out a Below deck sailing yacht back despite making headlines for a sexual misconduct scandal.

The reality star took to the comments section of his recent Instagram post to answer questions about his future on Bravo. King addressed a viewer who reminded him that there is “a life afterward.” Below deckand replied, “I hope so, I’ll have to see, but I’ll definitely try to stay on people’s TV screens ☺️.”

King noted in a separate comment that he is doing his best to demonstrate his worth. “I will and hopefully you’ll be back on your screens. Every day I try to improve myself so hopefully you’ll see this when they ask me back,” he continued.

In several other responses, King said he is hopeful Bravo will ask him to return. King’s future as Below deck sailing yacht cast member has been on air since a production assistant on the show accused him of making unwanted advances during the filming of season 4.

Earlier this year, Samantha Suarez detailed her alleged interactions with King for a Rolling stone expose. Suarez and other former employees, who spoke on condition of anonymity, accused Bravo of helping to cover up King’s inappropriate behavior.

“It was crazy. “There were multiple incidents of sexual harassment in the presence of multiple producers after this individual was given multiple verbal warnings,” one of the plaintiffs alleged in October. “I had to get promoted and make this guy who had just attacked someone look great. That was my job, to make this person look cool, capable and exciting.”

According to Suarez, she was asked to care for King after he allegedly became drunk. Once filming wrapped, Suarez stayed with King in his hotel room before trying to prevent her from leaving him. King allegedly pushed against Suarez as she turned toward the door and refused to let her leave until she started fighting back.

Suarez further claimed that she informed producers of the incident, which resulted in King being told to sleep on the boat on days when the crew was not filming, to keep him out of the hotel.

Bravo made the allegations in a statement to Rolling stone, saying: “Bravo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows. We require our third party manufacturing companies to have appropriate workplace policies and training in place, and a clear process for reporting concerns. The concerns raised by Ms Suarez in July 2022 were investigated at the time and action was taken based on the findings.”

In a separate statement, Below Deck’s production company 51 Minds Entertainment issued its own response to the allegations.

“51 Minds strives to provide an environment where every member of the cast and crew of our productions feels respected and, above all, safe. 51 Minds offers mandatory harassment and sensitivity training for every series it produces at the start of each new season and lays out a clear process on how and to whom to report questionable activity,” a spokesperson said. “For every complaint filed, an investigation will be initiated in a timely manner and based on the findings, appropriate action will be taken to ensure the safety of our cast and crew, up to and including dismissal. With regard to the incident reported by Ms. Suarez involving Mr. King, the matter was investigated and reviewed as soon as it was filed, and production acted accordingly based on the results.

King has maintained his innocence since news of the allegation broke. “I know [that I did nothing wrong]and I know the truth, but it still hurts when people tell lies to bring you down,” he replied to a fan via Instagram a month later.

In the aftermath, King did not appear at BravoCon in November, despite initially being announced as a guest. However, he has subtly received support from him Below deck sailing yacht costars included Captain Glenn Shephard And Ileisha Dell.
