We wanted to consider how real shoppers feel about swimwear shopping when choosing styles. When Pop Sugar joined Form Unpleasant survey nearly 4,000 women, only 2% said they feel great in a bathing suit because of the pressure for a perfect ‘bikini body’. Plus, only 4% would spend more than $175 on a bathing suit, so we mainly wanted to find styles on the more affordable side.

Seeing these results and knowing our own experience, we wanted to pick swimsuits with enough coverage so people could wear them and not worry about insecurities or reservations. We looked for styles that covered more of the buttocks, and some that reached the thighs as well.
