Blackpink’s Lalisa Manoban said she will ‘forever cherish’ the moment she received an honorary MBE from King Charles III in a gushing Instagram after.

The K-pop star, 26 – who goes by Lisa – shared an excited photo of herself holding up the award, apparently moments after the investiture ceremony that took place at Buckingham Palace last week.

The idol – who hails from Thailand and is known for her rapping and dancing skills – posed for a smiling selfie in a chic strapless gray dress, adorned with a cape, from clothing brand Asava.

She paired the look with white leather pumps from Stuart Weitzman and a BVLGARI watch, creating a sophisticated half-up, half-down look with her raven locks.

Other glamorous snaps in the carousel showed the star posing glamorously in what appeared to be a luxurious waiting room and private car.

“It’s such an honor to be a part of this amazing moment,” Lisa wrote in a message to more than 98.9 million followers on Instagram.

‘I never thought I would be standing here and receiving an Honorary MBE, so thank you and I will cherish this moment forever.’

King Charles awarded girl group Blackpink honorary MBEs earlier this year.

The 75-year-old monarch appeared in good spirits as he held an investiture in the presence of the President of the Republic of Korea and the First Lady during their official state visit to the United Kingdom.

After receiving their awards, the girls posed for official photos, including one with the President of the Republic of Korea and the First Lady, who were present to witness the moment.

Korean culture has seen an explosion in popularity, with the music known as K-pop becoming a global youth phenomenon.

Alongside bands like BTS, Blackpink is at the forefront of the genre, shattering records including most subscribed and viewed music artist on YouTube and highest-grossing tour by a female group.

With dual New Zealand citizenship, Rosé’s MBE is classified as ‘substantive’ (as opposed to just honorary, which goes to foreigners) because she is a national of a British Empire where the monarch is also head of state.

The group also attended the state banquet on Tuesday, where the king honored them in his speech.
