A BOTTLE of water from a polar iceberg is on sale – for a whopping £7,000.
Only a few were made, and only one remains, making it a collector’s item – with an eye-watering price tag.
The ultra-pure thirst quencher is billed as the “taste of snow in the air” from the Norwegian Arctic outpost of Spitsbergen.
The description of the 750 ml bottle reads: “Svalbard iceberg water is an experience for the palate, comparable to fine wine.”
It suggests that you can improve the taste by adding ‘delicates’, chocolate milk or, interestingly, ‘drinks’.
It continues: “Without nitrates or contaminants, the extremely low minerality provides a light mouthfeel with a light bite and a slight sweetness.”
The mineral water is said to be the northernmost on Earth, while icebergs can be challenging springs.
Pat Eckert, owner of British Fine Liquids, which sells it for £7,332, said: “Iceberg water is really special.
“When the brand stopped production, what stock remained sold out within a few days.
“The bottle we have is therefore a rare collector’s item.”
