ED raids 12 places of senior AAP leaders in connection with money laundering case

New Delhi: That's Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is on the radar of the national investigation agency Enforcement Directorate (ED). After the arrest of Sanjay Singh, Satyendra Jain and former deputy Delhi CM Manish Sisodia, multiple ED summons have been issued to Delhi CM and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal. Recently, ED raids were conducted at the Education Minister's residence in Delhi Atishi Marlena and after the raids, Atishi announced in a social media post that she will hold a press conference today, February 6, and that it will be “an explosive exposé on ED.” Less than an hour before today's press conference, ED raids have been carried out at 12 locations senior AAP leaders in connection with a money laundering case. Atishi Holds Press Conference for 'ED Exposé'

Despite the ED raids on senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Delhi Education Minister Atishi has held her press conference that she had promised for 'an explosive ED exposé'. The Education Minister started her conference by saying that ED has been raiding the house of AAP Rajya Sabha member and party treasurer ND Gupta and Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary Bibhav Kumar since 7 am.

Atishi Marlena in her press conference also said that the ED officials have tried to 'scare' and 'threaten' the party leaders, but AAP will not fear anyone. The minister has said that the ED officials have threatened and blackmailed the witnesses so that they could give their statement against the party and its officials. She said, “For the past two years, AAP leaders have been receiving threats. In the name of this so-called liquor scam, someone's house is being raided, someone is being served a summons and someone is being arrested… Even after hundreds of raids in two years, ED has not been able to recover even a single rupee. Even after two years, ED has not found any concrete evidence and the court has also repeatedly asked to produce evidence…'

Atishi's Key Claims and Allegations About the Enforcement Directorate

Referring to a Supreme Court ruling, Atishi said it is mandatory for investigating agencies to maintain audio and video evidence of the searches and raids they conduct, even before the Enforcement Directorate. The Education Minister has alleged that despite this SC order, ED has not preserved the data in audio and video. According to Atishi's allegations, ED has failed to produce the audio recordings of their searches and has demanded the same from ED. Atishi has said that this raid is not about a scam, the raid itself is a scam.
