A savvy shopper went online to share his find with like-minded bargain hunters in a Facebook group.

Along with a photo of the huge box, they wrote: “I don't know who needs that many flakes. £6.99 Farmfoods 144 flakes.”

At that price, each flake costs just 48 cents each.

From the more than 200 comments the post has generated, it is clear that many people could use that much flake.

Referring to the packaging on the box which said: “For ice cream and culinary use,” someone jokingly posted: “Rude to assume they use it for ice cream, I could easily eat 144 flakes.”

Another choccy fan added: “The better, any decent human being can eat their way through a box of cookies like that in less than half an hour. By far the best chocolate treat ever made.”

While a third wrote: “I could easily demolish this box!”

Many others tagged a friend and said they needed to get to Farmfoods ASAP.

SMALLER SIZE THAN REGULAR BARS

However, some people warned others that the flakes in the box were smaller than the regular version.

One commenter said: “I bought these, they are extremely small. In some packages the flakes were half the size they should be. More like a splinter.”

Although one person replied: “It's a catering kit intended for use in ice cream cones.”

However, other choco-holics were not deterred, with one saying: “chocolate is chocolate, even when it's broken.”

Apart from the huge box of flakes, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco are all currently selling a multipack of four flakes for £1.65, according to Trolley.co.uk.

Sainsbury's also compares this with the nectar price, otherwise it is 20 cents more expensive.

For anyone who doesn't want to be so indulgent, Sainsbury's is also selling a single, apparently larger Cadbury flake for 75p.

It comes after another sweet-toothed customer spotted a chocolate deal in Home Bargains that was too good to miss, so they cleared the shelves.

Chocolate lovers used to love B&M's new “bake at home” Easter eggs.

Late last month, bargain hunters with a sweet tooth got excited about the “party size” bags of M&Ms, which had been heavily reduced in price.
