Casey Donovan Shares Insight On Her Relationship With Girlfriend Renee Sharples: ‘I’ve Never Been Happier’
She has been a fan favorite since she shot to fame on Australian Idol at the age of 16.
And now, Casey Donovan has revealed intimate details about her personal life and her relationship with Renee Sharples.
“I’m in a very happy, safe place in my life,” the 35-year-old singer said The Daily Telegraph.
She went on to say that she has “never been happier” and that her relationship has given her more confidence.
“It’s taken me finding the love of my life and kissing a few frogs – and living through a very challenging part of my life – to find confidence and happiness within myself.”

Casey sparked rumors that she was secretly engaged to girlfriend Renee in September 2021, a year after finding love during the Covid lockdown.
She set the rumor mill on fire after uploading an Instagram video of herself performing a cover of Stand By Me to promote RU. Okay? Day.
As Casey strummed a guitar, fans couldn’t help but notice a huge diamond ring on her finger, leading some to wonder if a wedding was planned.
Casey met Renee, a paramedic teacher, through dating app Bumble and the pair arranged video dates on Zoom.
“It’s taken me finding the love of my life and kissing a few frogs — and living through a very big part of my life that has been challenging — to find confidence and happiness in myself,” she said.
“I was nervous and excited to connect with Renee, and when we finally connected, her banter was great and she seemed very nice,” Casey told Woman’s Day.
“When I logged into our first Zoom date and saw that Renee had set it up in a cafe, it was so sweet… [It was] even better when she asked me what kind of coffee I wanted,” she added.
Renee admitted she recognized Casey from Australian Idol but had “no preconceived ideas about who she was.”
“We didn’t really see this in the near future; it was very unexpected. But we have the best time living together and I couldn’t be happier,” she said.
